The Assistant Network Administrator Trainee will support the technical and
network operations required for conducting smooth and secure online
examinations across designated centers. The trainee will work under senior
network administrators and venue IT teams to ensure all exam systems, network
devices, and connectivity setups function without interruption.
The role includes assisting in the installation and configuration of exam
servers, client systems, LAN setups, routers, switches, and firewall policies
as per examination guidelines. The trainee will monitor network performance
during exam sessions, troubleshoot connectivity issues in real-time, and ensure
adherence to IT security protocols to prevent unauthorized access or data
breaches. Responsibilities also include routine system checks, verification of
exam software readiness, maintaining logs, and providing first-level IT support
to center staff.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily
online exam operations across assigned centers.
Ensure all manpower (LS,
Tech1/Tech2, OSMs, Venue Managers) are deployed as per schedule.
Maintain communication with venue
managers and resolve operational or manpower issues promptly.
Verify center readiness, including
system availability, network stability, power backup, and biometric
arrangements.
Coordinate with logistics teams for
question paper (QP) delivery, return, and exam materials.
Prepare and maintain reports such as
deployment sheets, attendance, incident reports, and daily status updates.
Ensure compliance with client SOPs,
security guidelines, and audit requirements.
Monitor biometric attendance,
candidate verification, and overall exam flow.
Escalate technical or operational
incidents immediately to the concerned teams.
Support city-level and hub-level
operations during peak exam schedules.
Assist in training manpower
regarding exam processes and SOPs.
Conduct post-exam reconciliation and
submit required documents/reports on time.

Assistant Network Administrator Trainee
1. Pre-Exam Network Preparation
- Assist in setting up LAN networks for examination labs
as per exam guidelines.
- Support installation and configuration of routers,
switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Help ensure exam servers, client PCs, and backup
systems are properly connected and functional.
- Perform network health checks, bandwidth testing, and
system readiness verification before exam day.
- Configure and test exam software, browser lock systems,
and security tools.
2. Exam Day Technical Support
- Monitor network performance in real-time during exam
sessions.
- Resolve connectivity issues, system lags, or software
malfunctions immediately.
- Ensure uninterrupted communication between exam servers
and client systems.
- Provide on-site first-level IT support to candidates
and invigilators.
- Maintain uptime of power backup systems (UPS, inverters,
DG) related to network devices.
3. Network & System Security
- Assist in implementing exam security protocols to
prevent cheating or unauthorized access.
- Monitor firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs),
and secure VPN connections (if applicable).
- Ensure all client systems are locked down and
unauthorized applications are disabled.
- Support anti-virus updates, OS patches, and security
scans before and after exams.
4. Hardware & Software
Maintenance
- Check and maintain PCs, network cables, switches, and
related infrastructure.
- Support the installation of drivers, updates, and
exam-related software packages.
- Identify faulty devices and report/replace them as
required.
5. Data & Log Management
- Maintain logs of network issues, resolutions, and
system performance.
- Document device configurations, IP allocations, and
daily examination reports.
- Assist in backing up exam data as per SOPs and submitting
reports to the central technical team.
6. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the Venue Manager, Technical Support
Team, and Central IT team before and during exams.
- Report critical issues immediately to senior Network
Administrators.
- Assist in guiding staff on basic system operation and
incident reporting procedures.
7. Post-Exam Activities
- Support shutdown and resetting of exam systems after
completion.
- Help verify data synchronization and upload status.
- Assist in restoring systems to standard configurations
for regular use.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
- 3-Years Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Networking certifications (preferred): CCNA
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN
concepts.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and
Wi-Fi devices.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux systems.
- Basic troubleshooting skills (hardware, software, and
network).
- Understanding of network security fundamentals.
